Hello.. I’m more than glad you have clicked on this page.  On this page you will find out what’s happening at Melonpopzdropz.  Further down this page nearer the bottom ire some awards.  I was given these, and you can find out why!

Squizzy at my Rhymes tab at the top.  This was the main focus of this blog to begin with.    “Historia est Magistra Vitae”  is the fledgling of my autobiography.

These days I love taking part in the “Weekly Photo Challenge“.  This blog keeps changing and morphing.  Guess that is the fun part about it.  I have had a few different styles since starting and finally I have settled on the no frills Black and White.

So welcome to the place where I write “stuff”.  I write about my opinions,  things that interest me and I write a lot of poetry.  It isn’ that great and it isn’t in perfect pentameter but its mine  and in here on the blog is the place to keep it organized.

  I can now write and photograph to my hearts content. I have somewhere to put it all.  I love it.  Post Script a year and a half later from my humble beginnings,  I am addicted to blogging!  I have a few Blogspot blogs as well.  Totally addicted.

Sometimes even I’m not sure of this.   I must be careful not to be too flippant here in regards to who I am,  as my comical flippancy has been misconstrued on other occasions in the past.

I  desire to do “Stand Up Comedy”.   Perhaps one day I will eventually get the intestinal fortitude to stand up .  I found the COMEDY SCHOOL in Sydney.  Hell I didn’t know such a thing existed.

I’m M.E.B  which has now morphed to M.E.P – these being my initials.  I am EMEE to some and Mezza to others to some really special people, I am mum,

The Liebster Blog Award.   Was given to me by Nellibell49
This was my very first award,  way back when I had no idea what to do with them and how to put them up on my page.  One of my jobs is to go back and amend some of my early mistakes.  Putting my awards here for a start certainly helps.  Notice the date this one went up.  After the next award.  We had learned some more by then and put them up.

The Liebster Blog Award: This award originated in Germany a while ago and his original name was “Liebster Blog Award” which is German for “An award for the blog I like the most or Dearest”  It is thought to have originated in 2009-2010 and it was for blogs with less than 3000 followers.”  The person awarded this blog award must tell 5 things about himself /herself that their readers may not know.
Finding the origin of this Blog Award was not easy.  It appears these people have something to do with this but I will have to investigate further on this

I was born Mary-Ellen Peters in 1959.   I am a mother who I birthed three children. They are all still alive so I must have been a reasonable parent .  Parenting isn’t an easy feat.   Personally, I grew up in a harsh emotional and physical circumstance and because of this I was alienated from people and I  was not allowed friends.  I’m sure this affected me greatly.   Not a great memory.  I wanted my children to never ever feel the things I felt as a child growing up.

Being separated from my family from just after birth has been a journey that I will document separately on the page found above HISTORIE EST MAGISTRA VITAE  –  History is life’s teacher.

These days I am a survivor! I divorced my kids dad after 28 years of trying. Pulling the pin on  that was no cake walk.  All of those years devoted to a family who were my  world.   One of my daughters, is Montana-Star, she is the youngest and the most understanding and she loves me dearly.  I am so proud of all of my children.  They are all great people.  The older two have good relationships and live in with their partners.  Montana is still at High School.  This is her singing below:

Yessum I have a radio show.

I am Dj Mezza..  or Mumma Dj  as Jake from South Australia loves to call me.  I like that name too.

I was Melonpop but I changed it.  Now the name of the show is just “Melonpop Drive”.  I do this each Friday at 4pm for two hours each week.  I would love to do so much more but now distance precludes me the majority of times!

So you might think that “Melonpop” is a Strange name.  Remember it is Mary + Ellen = Melon + Popular music = Melonpop

I had the nick name “CINDY” for twenty five years.   It was a little more sinister than just an ordinary nick name.
